Discussions are ongoing between Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah and National Independent Party President Rabi Lamichhane.

Balen's advisor Kumar Ben is having a private discussion with them at his house in Kupandol Jwagal, Lalitpur. Sources say that they are discussing how to move forward in the upcoming House of Representatives elections.

Earlier, Balen and Minister for Physical, Energy and Urban Development Kulman Ghising also held discussions in Jwagal. Abhishek Singh, a central member of the Ujjalo Nepal Party, said that the discussions were held to move forward together with alternative forces.

Recently, former Congress MP Dr. Sunil Sharma also met with Balen.
