A meeting has been held between Minister for Physical, Energy and Urban Development Kulman Ghising and Balendra Shah of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Their meeting took place at Kumar Ben's house in Jwagal, Lalitpur. Ben is Mayor Shah's advisor. It is understood that Ghising, the patron of Ujjaya Nepal, and Mayor Shah discussed how to go about the upcoming elections.
A source said that after the meeting with Ghising, Mayor Shah and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh President Ravi Lamichhane will meet. Ujjaya Nepal Party central member Abhishek Singh said that discussions are underway to move forward together with alternative forces and that a conclusion will be reached in a few days. Ghising and Mayor Balen had met before.
Kulman Ghising shared a photo of a meeting with Mayor Shah on social media on Facebook after he launched the Ujjaya Nepal Party on 14 Mangsir and entered politics. Ghising had written on Facebook at the time, 'We are together in the campaign to build a country.'
