Teachers' movement should not be taken lightly

Even if the agreements made in the past were for implementation, there should have been a teachers' movement, and it is happening. Leaders of various political parties, academicians, journalists, and even the local government have expressed solidarity with this movement.

But the government is not serious. The Prime Minister, who has been criticized for speaking harshly about the service facilities of the teachers, is considering the protest with the presence of numerous teachers to be light on the scale of 'some days they cry, they go away'. Our parliamentarians are saying in the committee meeting that 'the opposition should be shot'. The Prime Minister, who sometimes gives instructions to the opposition to be a ringleader and sometimes to fight like a hungry tiger, may not consider the peaceful and noble movement of teachers as a 'movement'.

The teachers have put as much pressure as possible not to test the SEE answer sheet. Meanwhile, the National Examination Board, which has announced the schedule for the SEE results on June 7, has called upon the teachers to test the answer sheets. As the agitation continues, teachers may also announce that they will not participate in the conduct of class 11/12 board exams. But what is to be remembered is that there is no solidarity and support for the teachers' movement which started during the 'educational activity zero' period when the academic session has ended and new admissions are yet to start. The weather will change. With the beginning of the new year, the admission campaign starts in every school.

reach the textbook but not the teacher. When the school became teacherless, there were widespread complaints from parents. In this case, private schools are equally likely to benefit. In the same way, some teachers are criticized in the eyes of their parents for being greedy while the school is in operation, and some are monotonous in their own business.

While the current teachers are moving into the movement, it is yet to come to the news that some teachers who came from the village are taking advantage of the opportunity to engage in god work and father work in the movement area. Therefore, by changing the strategy and format of the movement, continuing the stance of not examining the answer sheets of SEE and not participating in the conduct of class 11/12 examinations, the teaching and learning activities should not be hindered. The teachers' federation should be free from any political self-interested demands or pressures and be aware of only covering the points of educational governance and the rights and interests of teachers.
