People are talking about the Zen-ji now, as if they came from another world. As if we have no connection with the other people here. As if others don't know the things that the Zen-ji know, their senses of perception and action are different.

Let's say that the corruption issues raised by Gen-G are only theirs. Gen-G is the only revolutionary class. Good governance is only necessary for them.

On the other hand, some people consider this generation to be ignorant of history, indifferent to family and social relations, distant from religion and culture, devoid of manners, mobile phone addicts, and thunderbolts without human consciousness and heart.

Both these ideas and beliefs about Gen-G are completely wrong. Yes, the almost regular and some special changes in the political, technological, social, economic and other fields that have come to the country and the world have changed the thinking and way of thinking of people today, which is natural.

Now the demands and issues of the people have changed. It is natural that the resources of the past are not sufficient for the present. The positive conditions that were changed by the previous movements are now insufficient. Earlier, there was no minimum provision of roads, electricity, drinking water, transportation, the previous generation demanded that and got that. Earlier, there were no schools or colleges, that was the demand and issue.

Now, it is not at all unnatural for those who live in the light of electricity, study in schools and colleges near their homes, bathe in tap water that reaches the inside of their homes, and use means of transportation on blacktop or sloping roads that reach the stones of their courtyards to think and explore new things.

The difference between the demands and issues that were imposed on the oppressive and arbitrary system of kings and maharajas, feudal lords, nobles, and moneylenders yesterday and the demands and issues that are sought in the broad horizon of a democratic republic is absolutely positive. Our society has come a long way from the situation where we had to guess information and communication based on the crowing of a crow, and depend on the weather by looking at the clouds in the east in the morning and the west in the evening.

There is no longer a time when the news of the death of a relative who has gone abroad is informed after receiving a letter tied with thread for several days. These and many other developments and changes have brought new awareness, new awakening. It has helped raise new demands and issues, and sought new solutions. This may have surprised some leaders of the older generation, but now the pace of change is not slow, but accelerated. We all need to pay attention to this.

Gen-G is a technology-friendly, quick-reacting generation, but more attracted to consumption. Emotional but indifferent to emotions, and easily influenced, their activism is both an opportunity and a challenge for society.

After the Gen-G movement, some people felt that Gen-G is agitator, revolutionary. Many may also have the illusion that they do what they do. But Gen-G is only a person born in a certain period of time.

With a few exceptions, Gen-G and the previous generation are not, and cannot be, an opposing generation. The rights they receive are not denied to everyone. The unfettered rights they receive are the greatest happiness for the previous generation.

There is always a struggle between two classes in society. It seems that the ruling and the ruled classes differ in every period. There seems to be a contradiction between slaves and masters, feudal lords and farmers, nobles and subjects, capitalists and workers, etc. According to the era, the difference between the dry laborer who does intellectual labor and the dirty laborer who does physical labor has also been a kind of question.

Gen-G The generation of other generations needs to understand that Gen-G was born at a time when mobile, computers, the Internet, social networks and information technology were expanding rapidly. Therefore, this generation did not just learn technology, but became a generation born and raised in technology. In short, this generation has experienced a ‘digital life’ rather than a ‘digital office’.

This generation is known for its tendency to understand quickly, respond quickly, be influenced quickly and draw conclusions quickly. The practice of short information, short entertainment and short responses on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook has made this generation fast or quick. However, this ability to understand quickly and respond quickly sometimes weakens deep thinking, patience and long-term vision.

Although Gen-G appears to be successful in using technology, it does not seem to have contributed much to new research, in-depth study, and original inventions. Perhaps this generation has found greater comfort in the role of consumer. This generation has a great ability to use technology, creation, and services created by others and adapt to them quickly. However, the lack of expected contribution to the development of original creation, research, and new possibilities is a matter of concern.

There is a big contradiction in this generation. They get emotional quickly, are drawn to emotions, but do not show much interest in respecting the feelings of others. They respond emotionally to what is ‘trending’ on social media, but do not seem very sensitive to the pain of people close to them. It is interesting for social studies to see both emotional and ruthless characteristics in the same generation.

One positive aspect of this generation is that they have started to join the movement. The recent street presence of youth against the social media ban is an example of this. The new generation showing direct interest in social and political issues is a promising sign for democracy and change.

It seems that this generation has started to raise its voice not only for its rights, but also for the welfare of society and the country. But here too, the question arises – does this generation come to the movement only for ‘part (consumption)’ or for a ‘role’? Whether to make the movement a ‘trend’, photo, video or a means of popularity or a means of real change will determine the value of their activism.

Although Gen-G is alert and quick to respond, it seems to be slow and weak in assuming social responsibility. Apathy, inaction and attraction to personal comfort have made it difficult for them to be seen in a responsible role for a long time. However, if given the right leadership, opportunities and environment, this generation has a strong possibility of giving a new direction to society.
