The National Independent Party has submitted the names of 57 people to the Election Commission for proportional representation. The Election Commission is investigating the names submitted by the Rashtriya Swatantra Party. The commission is studying whether those names are recommended as per the election law.

The Rashtriya Swatantra Party's secretariat meeting held on Sunday sent the names of the party's candidates who will become MPs through the proportional representation system. After the Rashtriya Swatantra Party secretariat meeting, General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti submitted the names of those who will become MPs through the proportional representation system to the commission.

Party President Ravi Lamichhane and senior leader Balendra Shah had discussed the issue of who will be elected MPs through the proportional representation system in the party. The proportional list was selected from the closed list submitted to the Election Commission according to the clusters and alphabetical order prescribed by law.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) spokesperson Manish Jha said that the names were sent to the Election Commission by the secretariat on Sunday itself by the employees and secretariat members. 'When we submit the names to the central office of the Election Commission, they verify and the verification process takes place. Then the Election Commission makes the names public. Until the commission verifies the names politically and legally, those names will only be names proposed by us,' said spokesperson Jha.

The Election Commission had written a letter to political parties to select and submit the names of those who will become MPs through the proportional system by Sunday. The letter from the commission mentioned that the parties should recommend names according to the seats they have received from the closed list submitted to the commission earlier, according to cluster and alphabetical order. According to commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, if the names do not match according to inclusiveness, the political party concerned will be given more time to correct the list. ‘On Monday, we will verify whether the lists sent by political parties match or not according to the inclusive system. If they do not match, we will write to the parties concerned again to reconcile them,’ he said. ‘Only then will the final list of elected MPs be published.’

The Commission is preparing to distribute certificates to MPs elected under the proportional system after publishing the list. After that, the path to forming a government according to the new mandate will be opened for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) only after submitting a report to President Ram Chandra Poudel, including all the details related to the election.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has recommended 17 names, including 16 women and 1 man, to the Election Commission. In the Tharu cluster, 2 women and 2 men have been recommended. In the Madhesi cluster, 7 women and 2 men have been recommended. In the Dalit cluster, 3 Muslim women have been recommended. In the Dalit cluster, 8 names, including 7 women and 1 man, have been recommended. In the tribal cluster, 13 women and 3 men have been recommended. Out of 57 seats won by the RSVP under the proportional system, 9 men and 48 women have been recommended.

The RSVP has decided to make the names public only after the Election Commission has investigated and verified these names. In the secretariat meeting, RSVP President Ravi Lamichhane had asked the leaders not to make the names of the proportional list public. Kantipur has prepared this list after talking to Election Commission officials and 4 leaders in the RSVP secretariat.
