Kabindra Burlakoti of the National Independent Party (NISP) has emerged victorious in Gorkha-2. Burlakoti won with 26,660 votes. His nearest rival Prakash Chandra Dawadi of the Nepali Congress (NCP) received 11,700 votes. Burlakoti won with a margin of 14,960 votes.

NCP's Lekhnath Neupane came second with 11,173 votes, while UML's Milan Gurung (Chakre Milan) came fourth with 3,087 votes. In the 2079 election, the then Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal was elected from Gorkha-2, while Burlakoti came second.
