Snowfall and rain have been falling in the mountainous and high-mountainous regions of the country since Monday night. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Nepal is currently experiencing the effects of a westerly wind and a low-pressure system formed in the Arabian Sea.
According to the division, the weather has become cloudy and cold in some places.
According to the division, the lowest temperature today is likely to reach Jumla and Jomsom (up to one degree), while the highest temperature is likely to reach Biratnagar and Janakpur (up to 32 degrees).
Currently, light to moderate rain is being experienced in the hilly and Terai areas and light to moderate snowfall is being experienced in the mountainous areas. Moderate to heavy snowfall is also being experienced in the mountainous areas around Manang and Mustang in Gandaki Province.
The division has urged people to take necessary precautions as there is a possibility of further rain/snowfall in the places where it is raining/snowing.
