Congress central member Gobind Pokharel has demanded the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar. Pokharel said on social media that the party should recall Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar if he does not resign immediately.

"The Home Minister should resign immediately, otherwise the party should call him back," Pokhre wrote on social network X. 

14 people have been killed so far when the police opened fire during the demonstration by Jen-G, who said that the ban on anti-corruption and social media should be open. The police opened fire at the Baneshwar-centred demonstration. Similarly, 1 person died due to police firing in Itahari.
