According to Prajia Ghimire, they had reached Dharali area of Uttarkashi to work. He said that a request was made to the Embassy in New Delhi through the Ministry of Home Affairs. Ward president Raju Loppa said that he heard that some of those who were said to be out of touch had also sent videos of the flood to their families.

Similarly, ward member Dhan Bahadur Tamang said that the people who went to work were in contact with their families until some time before the flood. I have heard that Lal Bahadur has sent a video to his family members. There is no phone contact with them . Even the local residents have not received calls. It's because the phone won't work due to the flood,' he said.
