The teachers have continued their demonstration demanding the release of the School Education Act.
For the last 15 days, teachers have been protesting in Maitighar Mandla, Kathmandu. Despite discussions with the Minister of Education, the Speaker, and the Prime Minister, the conclusion is that the teachers have not given up their agitation.
The teachers' stand is that the protest will continue until the school education act is promulgated. A teacher participating in the protest has informed that the class 12 exam will start from May 11 and teachers will not be included in it.
He says that he is hopeful that the state will address their demands quickly. The teachers have been protesting till Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm, but from Sunday they have changed the time from 9 am to 12 pm.
