Ravi Lamichhane, former Home Minister and Member of Parliament for Chitwan-2, was brought to the office of the District Attorney (Government Attorney) by the police on Tuesday afternoon for a statement in the cooperative fraud case.

Lamichhane was brought to Bharatpur from Kathmandu this morning. An investigation has been started against Lamichhane regarding the misappropriation of the savings of the Sahara Chitwan Multipurpose Cooperative. Lamichhane, who was arrested by the Kaski police on a complaint of misappropriation of cooperative savings, has been investigated and testified in Rupandehi and Kathmandu along with Kaski.

Sahara Chitwan's more than 100 million rupees went to Gorkha media against the rules, the victim saver has filed a complaint. Lamichhane was the then shareholder, director and managing director of Gorkha Media, which operated Galaxy 4K TV.
