Chief Electoral Officer Sanjiv Pokharel informed that according to the information provided by the Election Commission, the UML candidate Bhandari who was elected as Swamikartik Khapar village vice president received 1,740 votes.
Bhandari's nearest competitor Pultisara Shahi of Nepali Congress got 1 thousand 474 .
In the election for Swamikartik Khapar village vice president, 3 thousand 903 votes were cast out of a total of 7 thousand 460 voters.
The elected Bhandari was defeated by Mainadevi Joshi of the Nepali Congress in the local elections of 2079. Joshi, the then vice president of the rural municipality, passed away on January 4, 2080.
