Voting has started for 41 posts, including one municipal head, one deputy head, two village head, four vice-head and 33 ward head.
According to Election Commission spokesperson Nita Pokhrel Aryal, 26,799 people will exercise their right to vote by 5:00 pm. In this by-election, 376 candidates from different 20 political parties and independents are competing. Voting is taking place in a peaceful and tolerant environment.
Commission has stated that voting is allowed on the basis of voter ID card, citizenship certificate, national ID card, passport, permanent account number ID card and or driver's license.
