Ravi Lamichhane, chairman of RSVP, former home minister and former managing director of Gorkha Media Network, has been brought to Bhairahawa to investigate the crimes related to cooperative fraud and organized crime. Lamichhane, who has been in Kaski police custody for 26 days for cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering, was brought to Bhairahawa a little while ago.
Although the first flight of Buddha Air from Pokhara at 8:00 am was ready to bring Bhairahawa, the flight was delayed due to bad weather in Pokhara. The ship took off from Pokhara at 12:00 PM and landed at Bhairahawa at 12:28 PM. According to the Rupandehi police, Lamichhane was taken directly from the airport to the public prosecutor's office. The Rupandehi District Court has allowed the police to arrest and investigate about 40 people including Lamichhane, vice president and former DIG of Gorkha Media Network, Chabilal Joshi Banjade, former president and current patron of Supreme Savings and Loan Cooperative Society, Gitendrababu Rai, for the crime of cooperative fraud and organized crime. Among them, 12 people including Lamichhane were given permission on October 8.
Accordingly, Lamichhane, who has been in Kaski police custody since October 2nd in a case of the same nature, is going to be brought to Bhairahawa for a statement on Tuesday. It has been revealed from the investigation that Supreme Savings and Loan Cooperative of Butwal illegally spent Rs. Along with Lamichhane, Gorkha Media Network's Vice President Chhabilal Banjade Joshi, who was issued an arrest warrant by the Ruppandehi District Court, was also brought to Kaski after giving a statement. According to
sources, the district attorney's office has prepared more than 70 questions related to misappropriation of cooperative funds and Gorkha media network for Lamichhane's statement. Additional questions will be asked during the statement, the source said.
