Deepak Aryal of Gorkha-6, who has been living in Kathmandu for the past 40 years, became a participant in the 'Ramayana' held in the village on the day of Gaijatra on Monday.
Aryal Gaijatra festival is a meeting place with relatives, neighbors and friends. Gorkha fark campaign has been started from this year for the preservation of local culture and promotion of tourism.
"It's not that we don't come at other times, we came during the festival, after 30 years I became a participant in Ramayana," said Aryal. Lately, due to migration and different professions, the trend of leaving that country is increasing. With thin attendance, the joy of the Jatra and the festival is also disappearing, the 'Gorkha Fark Abhiyan' has been started from this year's Gaijatra festival. Those who are outside the district who are engaged in various professions have been requested to meet and celebrate Janai Purnima, Gaijatra and Ropai Jatra in Gorkha. The
campaign is led by lyricist and writer Rajubabu Shrestha. He said that a campaign has been started to save the cultural procession and awaken the Gorkhas. He said, 'This is a reunion like a pilgrimage, celebrating a festival, and meeting relatives.
Shrestha says that the campaign will also help to find old relationships. He said, "If the birth place is made livable, the activity in the settlement will increase."
