There is a question and answer in the parliament about whether Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is in the minority, should resign or not. The opposition parties have said that the prime minister should resign immediately and pave the way for the formation of a new government. The MPs of the ruling Maoists have responded that they will face a vote of confidence as per the provisions of the constitution.

After the new equation between Congress and UML, in the first meeting of the House of Representatives held on Sunday, Congress and UML MPs increased pressure on Prime Minister Dahal to resign. After the two major parties agreed to share power, Dahal is in the minority. After the UML withdrew its support, there are currently only 63 MPs in favor of the government. However, he has announced that instead of resigning, he will take a vote of confidence on June 28. 

UML Secretary and Member of Parliament Yogesh Bhattarai said that he could not understand why the Prime Minister is going to take the vote of confidence after the alliance between the two major parties for the government. The two major parties of the Parliament have decided to cooperate. Why did it happen to extend the prime minister until 28? The Prime Minister has lost trust and support, at such a time it is appropriate to announce his resignation from the Parliament,” said Bhattarai.

He stated that an agreement has been reached with the Congress to review and amend the constitution. According to the constitutional provisions, the constitution should be reviewed every 10 years. The time has come to amend the constitution. We are in the process of reviewing the formation of federal, state and local governments, the functioning of constitutional organs,' he said. 

 Maoist MP Madhav Sapkota raised the question of what was agreed between Congress and UML. "What kind of agreement was reached between the two parties has not come out officially," he said. We didn't get to see. What fear has been working to keep it a secret for so long? The most opacity, immorality has started from there. Sapkota's question was how the upcoming alliance will provide political stability. The second party has talked about leading. You have not even said that the rest of the term will be led by one party,' he asked, 'You have said it half-and-half again, this is stability?' claimed. He claimed that the two parties came together after trying to form a government with the Congress when he was running the government in collaboration with the UML. "The last time we supported him and allowed him to work with a low profile ministry, he started distrusting the UML itself. They have also proposed to form a national government by calling the Congress, Bhattarai said. 

In response, Maoist MP Sapkota claimed that Dahal did not propose a government of national consensus to Deuba. Everyone knows that the Prime Minister went to the swearing-in ceremony of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. No one has been offered anything after the Prime Minister returned to Nepal, asked Budanilkanth. Congress MP Dig Bahadur Limbu said that the agreement reached for the formation of the new government should be implemented without cheating. "In the current situation, UML and Congress have promised to solve the country's problems, the top leaders should create a situation where they can move forward by giving a stable government without cheating, he said. MP Limbu said that the coalition government of Congress and UML should be able to provide political stability in the country. Congress MP Dr. Sunil Sharma said that the current situation of Prime Minister Dahal is similar to the song 'Orali Lagai, Harinko Chal Bho...' which is sung by Ramkrishna Dhakal. He said that the situation where they cheated each other is seen now. 

RSVP MP Ganesh Parajuli said that big parties speak in favor of good governance against corruption, but the behavior is just the opposite. Maoist MP Lekhnath Dahal said that the Prime Minister will not resign if anyone asks. There is a constitutional provision that the government will take a vote of confidence within one month after the political party that supported the government withdraws its no-confidence vote. According to the constitutional provisions, the Prime Minister has already decided to take the vote of confidence on June 28," he asked, "is it immoral to try to take the vote of confidence according to the constitutional provisions? Resignation doesn't come when no one wants it.

MPs compared the Dahal-led government to floods, landslides and the damage caused by them. Congress MP Ramhari Khatiwada said that the Dahal-led government should be removed from the parliament just like landslides are removed from the road. Another Congress MP, Rajendra Bajgai, accused the government of not paying attention to the work to be done in case of natural disaster.

UML chief whip Mahesh Bertaula said that the current government has lost not only the general vote but also the majority. "It is not proper for a government that has lost its majority to remain in office," he said. UML MP Raghuji Pant said that the Prime Minister should show morality by resigning. "Even after being in the minority, whether it goes to Article 76 (2) of the Constitution or Article 3, that is a matter of concern for the President. His job is to immediately resign and pave the way when he does not have a majority," he said.

UML MP Rankumari Balampaki Magar has requested to pave the way by resigning as the ruling partner UML has withdrawn its vote of confidence. Congress MP Ramakrishna Yadav said that there was an agreement between UML and Congress to share power to protect the national interest. "This government is going to be washed away by the flood of Congress and UML, so before it gets washed away, this government should fulfill its duty for the country and the people," said UML MP Ramshankar Yadav.

Rupa Sosi Choudhary, a Maoist whip, said that the government was brought down when the country was ravaged by natural disasters. He said that there is a suspicion that the alliance of UML and Congress is going to overturn the system established by the constitution.
