A boy and a girl died in Kaski on Wednesday after a landslide caused by continuous overnight rains brought them to their house. A woman was seriously injured.
At 02:15 in the morning, 13-year-old Ayushma Ranabhat died when a 3-room house made of tin and a block of Prakash Ranabhat at Madi Village-5 Chitepani Ghumti in Kaski collapsed.
70-year-old grandmother Lalmaya Banjari and she were the only ones sleeping when the landslide occurred. After receiving the information that the house had been buried by the landslide, a police team was dispatched from the area police office Sisuwa and started the rescue operation. District Police Spokesperson Basant Kumar Sharma said that Lalmaya's condition is normal.

Prithvi Highway road section washed away
After incessant rain at 6:30 am The Prithvi Highway road section was washed away due to the increase in the water flow in Ghatekulo located in Chauthe Anand Tol of Pokhara Metropolitan Municipality Ward-14. About 5 meters in length and 1.5 meters in width, the road has been cut by the water of Ghatekulo. 7 meters long and 1 meter wide on the other side of the road 10 meters ahead of that place has washed away and fallen. At present, the road is operating only in one direction and there are no other casualties, police said.
Five houses flooded
Two houses were flooded in Pokhara-7 Garikhet at 6:30 am. The houses of Sathani Kumar Sunar and Resham Gurung were flooded. Flooding has affected people's lives. In that house, the police are carrying out rescue operations by pulling water with a motor.
At 3 am in Pokhara-33 Bagmara, three houses were inundated after incessant rain in Siplingtara toll. The houses of local Ramji Bastola, Suman Vick and Baburam Basnet were flooded. The police said that there was no human damage.
