Initially, he worked as a helper in a hotel. At that time Adventure Hotel used to organize rafting from Chisapani to Thakurdwara. At first, he climbed the boat as a hobby, but gradually he became a guide. Now he has become an excellent guide in western Nepal for adventure travel. 

The Bhangalo of Karnali flows through the heart of Bardia National Park. In the same Bhangal, tourists enjoy watching wildlife along with water trips. Sometimes there is also the risk of being attacked by tigers, elephants and rhinos. Chowdhury says that rafting is conducted in the area even during the rainy season due to the small breakwaters.
