Voters were seen in an enthusiastic presence at the Public English Secondary School, a polling station in Tokha Municipality-1, Area No. 6. Even after casting their votes, voters were seen sitting outside the polling station, some in the courtyard, some standing, and some sitting in the shops nearby. Everyone was happily watching the atmosphere, hoping that the candidate they voted for would win for the development of the country. What do the voters there want after voting? How did they feel? What did they think was different between the previous and current elections? What kind of government do they want to form now? Kantipur has reached the polling station and talked to some voters directly.

Laxmi Tamang was seen taking photos on her mobile phone by the side of the road, happy after voting. She said that she was very happy to have voted. Tamang, who said that she has voted three times so far, wants the country to develop as she wants. ‘The elections are better now than before. Now let us get education, health and employment in the country,’ she said, ‘May no one have to go abroad in the coming days.’ Lakshmi is confident that she voted for a good candidate. She says, ‘Even though I was already interested in politics, I voted only after reading the party’s agenda.’ She said that she wants no youth to protest for anything even if the party forms a majority government. She said, ‘No matter who wins, everything should be good in the future. May we never see the Gen-G movement that happened in Bhadau again. May no youth lose their lives in the name of movement.’ She said that she wants stability to prevail in the country.

85-year-old Mohan Prasad Dulal was found returning home after voting. He said that this time he had a different experience while voting than before. He said, ‘There is no commotion at all. There is no crowd, no fight. I am happy that I was able to vote as I thought.’

Dulal said that new faces should come. He said that he has been voting since 2022 and wants young candidates to come. ‘Even if the previous ones did not do anything, the new youth will do it. It does not seem like there has been much development in the country. Will it happen now,’ he said.

Another voter who was found sitting next to the polling station chatting with a friend is Lakshmi Dulal. She said that she was happy after casting her vote. She also said that she was happy that the election was held peacefully in the country. ‘I would like to thank the government for allowing the people to vote in an easy manner,’ she said, ‘The current atmosphere is peaceful.’ Earlier, there was a crowd, there was no harmony between each other. There used to be riots, but now there is no such atmosphere.’

Lakshmi, who has voted 3 times, said that she wants the country to develop no matter who wins. She said, ‘Now I want a candidate who wants to do something for the country to win.’

Another voter who is observing the atmosphere at the polling station is Nirmala Lamichhane. The 48-year-old remembers that she has voted five times so far. She also feels that it is different from the past. ‘There was chaos before. Now, it seems like the voting has been completed in a peaceful atmosphere,’ she said. She said that she wants a good party to lead the country for development. ‘A good candidate, a good party, should win. The poor people in the country should not be killed. We want a government that provides employment to the youth, Gen-G, in Nepal.’

Similarly, another voter, 75-year-old Gol Prasad, who was met on the road, says that there has been no significant change between the past and the present. He says that he has poor hearing, ‘I have been voting since 2017.’ It doesn't seem like anything has changed.'

When asked which candidate he thinks will win now, Golprasad gave a different answer than the others, saying, 'The teeth that show and the teeth that chew are different. Everyone is the same, I don't have any hope from anyone,' he said, 'Both the new and the old are the same. But let's see if we have voted.'

Prem Krishna said that he has voted four times so far. He wants those who do good work to win. He says, 'This time, the candidate who does better than the previous one should get a turn,' he said, 'The youth in the country should get jobs. That is our demand that they should not have to go abroad.'

Similarly, Gayatri Devkota was also met on the way to Tokha-1 Jhor while returning from voting. Gayatri, who says that she has voted five times, also wants a good candidate to win. She says, 'Those who understand politics well should win and come back well.' She said that she now wants the environment of young people leaving the country and going abroad to be eliminated.

Badri Prasad Bidari, who returned home after voting, seems happy that the election is over. He said that he had voted in the morning after leaving the cow and buffalo milk at the shop and was returning home in the evening. He is a voter of constituency number 6. He says, ‘I had voted in the morning,’ he said, ‘I had started voting since 2014. The way of voting was different in our time, but now it is different.’ He also said that he wants the good to win now. Let the country develop. Let there be positive change.
