Birgunj Metropolitan City has decided to close schools for 5 days due to the increasing cold weather accompanied by the cold wave.

Considering the impact of the cold on the health of children, the metropolis has decided to close community and institutional schools for 5 days.

The office of the metropolis issued a notice on Monday, stating that teaching and learning in all schools has been suspended for five days from Poush 7 to 11.

The Educational Administration Division of the metropolis issued a notice, stating that the current holiday will be deducted from the annual vacation. The notice states that schools will resume regular operations from Sunday, Poush 13.

Since Poush 10 is a public holiday for Christmas, Poush 11 is a substitute holiday according to the academic calendar, and Poush 12 falls on a Saturday, the notice states that schools will operate according to the previous schedule from next Sunday.
