A woman who was killed in a house collapse in Gulmi has been rescued. Ujeli Bik, whose house collapsed due to a landslide on Saturday morning in Rurukshetra rural municipality-3 Thorga, was rescued by her neighbors.

Ward president Sheshnarayan Paudel said that he was rescued and taken to Reedy Basic Hospital on the initiative of the community. "Even though the house collapsed, there were no major injuries as it was under the stairs," he said.

When the landslide destroyed the house of Resham Pulami located in Satyavati rural municipality-3 of Gulmi, his family was displaced, Jitu Taramu said.

Due to floods and landslides, most of the roads including the main road leading out of the district have been blocked. The road from Gulmi to Palpa to Butwal Kathmandu is closed due to the blockage of the Ridi-Tamghas paved road section at the Ruru-4 Kalika turn.

Similarly, the road is completely closed due to the increase of water flow in the rivers of Tamghas-Simaltari section under Madan Bhandari highway. The road has been completely closed after the rise of Rodikhola, Ghamir river and Phulbari river on the said road. After the closure of the road, there is a problem for the passengers traveling from Madane, Malika and Ishma Rural Municipality to the headquarters.

Landslides have blocked roads in most of the rural areas of the district, the local levels have said.
