Young leader of the Nepali Congress, Santosh Rajbanshi, has emerged in politics, defeating Congress General Secretary Gururaj Ghimire, former minister Aman Modi and others. Rajbanshi won the election results of Morang Constituency No. 4, beating the candidates of old political parties. He got 40,833 votes. Congress General Secretary Gururaj Ghimire got 12,818 votes, CPN's Amanlal Modi got 10,662 votes, and UML's Jeevan Ghimire got 6,933 votes.
Born in Morang on Kartik 12, 2048 BS, Santosh Rajbanshi is a leader from a modest family background. His father is Ram Pujan Rajbanshi. Growing up close to the realities, struggles, and needs of the local society since childhood, Rajbanshi developed a vision of understanding society and politics from the life of the village. This experience has made him sensitive to the daily problems and needs of the people.
Another important aspect of Rajbanshi's public life is journalism. While active in journalism, he got the opportunity to see various issues of society, development challenges and the voice of the people up close. This experience improved his ability to analyze problems, form fact-based opinions and communicate directly with the people. As an active leader of the National Independent Party, Rajbanshi believes in transparency, accountability and people-oriented politics.
His leadership style is characterized by a tendency to communicate directly with the community, identify the root of the problem and find practical solutions. After his victory, he said that he would rise above party interests and pursue politics focused on local development and the needs of the people.
Rajbanshi is actively working on issues of education, health, employment and social justice. He has especially emphasized the issue of involving the youth in the social and political process.
