Apart from the Nepali Congress and the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), five political parties have finalized their candidates for the upcoming elections on Falgun 21.

The parties that have announced their candidates include Dr. Arjun Karki from UML, Mingma Sherpa from the National Independent Party, Pushpa Bahadur Koirala from the CPN-Maoist, Umadevi Rai from the Shram Sanskriti Party, and Ghanshyam Rai from the National Change Party. All of these candidates are new faces.


While the major parties, the Congress and the CPN-UML, have not yet announced their candidates, other parties have stepped up their preparations.


With 22 parties active, this election in Sankhuwasabha has become a matter of additional interest due to new faces and alternative political streams.
