Micking around Koshi Barrage: Do not step out of the house unnecessarily

Armed Police Force has asked the general public to be safe in view of the possible risk due to the increase in the flow of water in the Saptakoshi river. All the gates of the barrage have been opened after the flow of water has exceeded the danger level.

The Armed Police Force team is now saying that the flow of the Koshi river has crossed the danger level and is miking people not to go out of the house except for the essential.

"If there is any problem, please inform the nearest security agency," armed police personnel are saying. According to Tuvraj Pokharel, chief district officer of Saptari, all the gates of the barrage were opened after the water flow was measured at 4 lakh 31 thousand 525 cusecs at 9 am.

CDO Pokharel has said that in view of the continuous increase in the flow of water, traffic has also been banned from the bridge of the barrage. Due to the possibility of flooding in Koshi, India's Bihaan Supaul district is also on alert since Saturday.
