The Progressive Democratic Party has deactivated its candidacy in Baglung Constituency No. 1. The Progressive Democratic Party District Coordination Committee, Baglung, published a press release on Monday, informing that its party has deactivated the candidacy of direct candidate Chitra Prasad Sapkota from Baglung Constituency No. 1.
The statement signed by the party's district president Krishna Sharma and direct candidate Sapkota states that it has not been able to establish a respectable, meaningful, formal electoral coordination or alliance with any political party in this election in line with the policy of working unity and coordination with patriotic and democratic forces.
The party's statement states that the proportional candidate remains. Chitra Prasad Sapkota, who became a candidate, said that he deactivated his candidacy due to voter psychology and various reasons. Padam Bahadur Kunwar, the direct candidate from Baglung Constituency No.-2 on behalf of the Progressive Democratic Party, has already announced his support for Nepali Congress candidate Tekraj Poudel.
