After all documents were burned during the Gen-G movement and demonstration on Bhadra 23 and 24, the Gandaki Provincial Assembly Secretariat has again demanded personal details from the MP.

The secretariat has requested through a notice on Tuesday to submit a personal details form in the format as per Schedule 6 of the Gandaki Provincial Assembly Regulations, 2080 by mid-Kartik.

In addition to the said form, a copy of Nepali citizenship, a copy of the certificate issued by the Election Commission and a passport-sized photograph have also been requested to be submitted.

The Gandaki Provincial Assembly has 60 members. Of these, 36 are directly elected and 24 are elected through the proportional system.

The seat has been vacant for 11 months after Rajiv Gurung (Deepak Manange), elected from Manang ‘Kha’, was convicted of murder and sent to prison.
