Joy of victory, clouds of anxiety

Son Kolte kept changing in the hospital bed. Ambika, who was sitting next to her, had a handkerchief in her hands. She used to wipe the sweat on the body of the 'woman' with that handkerchief. She was restless since her son was thrown on the street while questioning against the government. Her son, who was found unconscious in the hospital bed 20 days ago, was taken home on Sunday. Her face was full of joy.

Anish Sapkota, a 17-year-old resident of Pokhara-31 Begnas, came to Neurod to participate in the Gen-G movement on August 24. Anish is Ambika's beloved son. 15-year-old brother Nikhil was also with Anish in the protest. After 15-20 minutes of arrival, vandalism and arson started in Pokhara Metropolitan City. Then the police fired tear gas . Partly, the brothers separated .

"I didn't know what was on my face when I looked back when I was running away". After I fell, I only remember a little bit of bringing him on the scooter,' Anish said. Anish was taken to Gandaki Medical College by the protesters from the spot. He was injured on the left side of his face. The bleeding was not stopped . Brother Nikhil was looking for his brother on the road.

It didn't take long for the news of the clash in front of the Metropolitan City to reach Pokhara's vegetable market. Anish's mother Ambika sells vegetables in the market at Pokhara-9 Shanti Van. After hearing the news of the clash, she kept calling Anish . didn't get up . Younger son Nikhil was also not in touch . After knocking several times, Anish's phone picked up . Ambika said – Dad, where are you?, a voice came from there – Sir, I am speaking from the hospital. Ambika panicked – Anish Khai ?, the person on the phone told that Anish had minor injuries and was brought to the hospital .

She was even more scared when someone picked up her son's phone. Hasyangfasyang ran away after closing the shop and reached the hospital . Anish had an oxygen mask in his mouth. He was not able to speak. Seeing Anish, mother Ambika remained silent. Eyes began to fill with tears. His speech did not break . Anish was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). Couldn't meet there any time . Ambika was waiting at the door.

After 6 days, Anish was taken out of the ICU and shifted to the surgery ward. Ambika breathed a sigh of relief. His mind was assured . After 20 days of the incident, Anish has started speaking. He slowly answers the question asked, which Ambika herself did not imagine .

'When I first saw it, my face was completely blue . He stayed in the ICU for 6 days," she said, "all the bones were broken. Didn't speak . I didn't think that it would be so well.'' Anish himself did not know what hurt his face. Gandaki Medical College Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr. According to Ujjwal Koirala, the tear gas container (Batta) hit Anish's face hard and the bones were broken. He said that the bones around the eyes and nose, the palate (the bone above the tongue inside the mouth), the maxillary bone (the bone where the teeth rest) were damaged.

'All the bones under the forehead were broken . As soon as the day of the incident came, we started to sew the torn flesh and skin,' he said, 'after 3 days, we brought the bone back and put it in the place.' After 3 months, Anish will undergo an operation and then his teeth will be adjusted. Koirala said .

'He has a problem of water coming out of his nose when he eats by mouth because his palatal bone is broken . An operation should be done in 3 months after the bones of the lower teeth are set,' he said . Due to the damage to the bones of the nose and mouth, it will be difficult for Anish to speak properly and chew food for some time. Koirala said. According to him, some changes will be seen in the structure of Anish's face before the movement. He says that the broken bones will gradually join together.

Anish spontaneously took to the streets after learning that there would be a protest against corruption, irregularity and corruption in Pokhara. The previous day on August 23, he was also in the movement. After a double clash with the police, he returned home . Anish Pokhara-31 lives with her grandmother in Begnas. The next morning, he took a bus with his brother and arrived in Pokhara.

He went on a hunger strike. Grandmother Rasmaya Tiwari said to go after eating. He replied that he was not hungry. "The food is ready, I told you to go eat, but when you said you are not hungry, I told you to go after milk," Rasmaya said, "The younger one ate the milk, I made tea saying that Mahilo will have tea."

After drinking milk and tea, the two brothers left for Pokhara. Arrived at Pokhara in one hour by bus. He reached the vegetable market and met his mother. After this, they reached Newrod, where the movement was peaceful. Within half an hour, Anish collapsed on the road. Anish, who was injured, is happy that the person against whom the movement was started has left power. The worry of being disabled for the rest of his life is also bothering him .

'The person who should be gone has left . Now the country will change, it will be like this forever . Let's say it's crippled,' he said in a dull voice. Anish was worried about what to do in the future. The concern about how to treat later is the same. Have we got relief for the injured? What will be my future? Who will do the treatment?' He questioned and added, 'I still have one more operation to do.'

Anish's parents were separated when he was four years old. Ambika brought up three sons on her own. As the father is not in contact, she has not been able to make the citizenship of her two grown-up sons . Ambika has repeatedly attacked the district administration office. She has not gone to the administration now because she was assured that it would be easy after the passing of the bill to get citizenship in her mother's name.

Now she is worried about how to pay for her son's treatment expenses. Now the hospital has done it for free. There is something to be done later. He became crippled for the rest of his life. What will be done later? "The government will do something," she sounded hopeful. She said that the businessmen of Sabzi Mandi and Anish's friends provided financial support for medicines that could not be found in the hospital.
