Then it is said that 'Bahun ate the mushroom without tasting it'. This is because the relationship between Bahun and Chow was not very close at first. Gangadhar Sharma of Kanchan rural municipality-1 Belbaria of Rupandehi also thought of the neighborhood when he started mushroom cultivation 13 years ago.

At that time, cases of people dying after eating forest mushrooms were widely heard. Gangadhar started mushroom cultivation in such complicated situation. Even when the produced mushrooms were sold door-to-door, it was difficult to sell immediately. He was also able to sell 3 kilos of mushrooms daily.

Gangadhar's younger son Rajan Paudel (29) was staying in Butwal for his studies up to class 12. He used to travel far and wide on his bicycle during his holidays to sell the mushrooms that his father produced. "Rather than going to people's houses and taking mushrooms, they would not buy them because they said, 'You should not eat them, they must have come from the forest,'" he said, remembering the days of struggle, "However, I did not give up, I used to return the unsold mushrooms back home." And again the next day, he used to distribute them from house to house.' Rajan has brought the mushrooms which were not even sold for 3 kilos at a time to the point where they sell up to 500 kilos a day. He says that he is earning up to 35 lakhs annually from the sale of mushrooms and seeds. He says, "Our production is going everywhere in the western part. Lately, mushroom seeds and seeds are also being made, so the demand is increasing. Currently, he is cultivating mushrooms in 20 tunnels in 1 bigha.

The market price of Kanye mushroom produced by Rajan ranges from 200 to 250 rupees per kg. Apart from that, he has also been producing milky mushrooms. Kanye mushroom grows every twelve months, apart from that, Milky and Dulle mushrooms are also prepared depending on the season. "Sukuti mushroom business is also flourishing now," he said. He said that this success was achieved because of the hard work of every member of the family and expanding the farm.

Gangadhar came to Rupandehi from Baglung in 2068 and started mushroom farming business. At first, he was confused about where to get mushroom seeds and how to cultivate them. I neither saw nor ate mushrooms. Most of them said that there is good potential, so I went to Kathmandu to taste mushrooms and learn how to cultivate them,' Gangadhar returned home with the seeds after studying it in Kathmandu for about 3 months. After that he started producing mushrooms at home. Now his son Rajan is setting up a company and is also providing sales and distribution training. said, "After seeing my father do it, I started learning, now I have set up a lab, I have been testing, making seeds, and teaching those who want to grow mushrooms."

After realizing that unless there is a 'brand name', consumers will not trust it immediately, Rajan registered 'Spinger Mushroom Firm' in the Home and Small Industries Office. And started making mushroom seeds and sukuti too. Later he started commercializing mushroom cultivation by registering the company as Tim Spinger Agro Pvt. Along with farming, he is currently studying LLB.

Although many of his friends have gone abroad, Rajan, who was attracted to the mushroom farming business while helping his father, said that he had no intention of going abroad as he was earning income by staying in the village. I never thought of going abroad, I stayed in the village thinking that even if I had to suffer, I would do it in my own country. I am happy that hard work has paid off,' he said.

Rajan says that he became an entrepreneur with the support of his father. Gangadhar also says that Rajan is succeeding because of his hard work and dedication. Rajan said that Kanye mushroom can be grown on wheat stalks, corn stalks, mustard stalks, etc., but it is easy to grow on straw. The straw is steamed and placed in a plastic bag and then the seeds are sown. He said that after 22 days, after 22 days, the plastic bag kept in a dark room with a temperature of 22-25 degree celsius to allow light air to enter, mushrooms will start to grow.

'1 kg of straw produces 800 grams to 1 kg of mushrooms. Sometimes there is a problem of mushroom spoilage due to infection in the plastic ball, he said. Currently, Rajan is also going to various places as a trainer for mushroom cultivation and giving training.
