Although he spent his childhood in a musical atmosphere, while growing up, Mahesh was away from music, or he stayed away from music. He wanted to take up some profession as soon as he finished 12th standard.

Very interested in sports, so became a sports journalist. Meeting players, watching games and reporting, he was enjoying the daily routine of journalism. Bumped into many people. Whenever he bumped into people, they would remind him of a song that Mahesh used to sing in his childhood. At that time, while standing in the line to submit the application, one person asked Mahesh in Madhur Lovej, 'Have you come to fill the form at the doctor's office?'

When he left journalism and turned to music, he did not think that the audience would soon like the song. However, he left journalism with the thought of going ahead with every problem of music journey. The first song got a lot of buzz, there was no need to struggle to get the songs out. However, before choosing music, I was very confused whether to leave journalism or not. I was struggling within myself. Mahesh narrates that he was able to quit that profession quickly. While holding the

boom and being interviewed, Mahesh imagined that one day he would be giving an interview himself. When going to the awards given by Image Channel, he used to say to his friends, 'I will get this award one day'. Although the relationship between sports journalist and singing award is very distant, friends used to listen to him. 

'Nach Phiri' won Mahesh an award in 2018. Even friends are surprised. 'Nach Firiri' is the song that made him feel angry. While doing journalism, he used to take Nepal Transport to go from Koteshwar to Baluwatar, Lazimpat.
