Comedian Jitu Nepal has been signed for the film 'Kangaroo' which will be produced by Rajeev Gurung (Deepak Manange). A production agreement has been signed with Jeetu for the film directed by Samrat Basnet. Actors Kedar Ghimire 'Magne Budha' and Arpan Thapa have already been signed for the film.
Director Basnet said that he is trying to tell some different story in the film which is going to be made in suspense, thriller and comedy genres. It took only two years to finalize the script. We are going to tell a slightly different story. This time, the audience will get to see a different flavor and a different story,” he said. He said that the shooting of the film will be done in Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra and other areas of Australia. The film 'Lakhe' has already been produced under the direction of Basnet.
The film based on Seema Gurung's story is being shot by Susan Prajapati. Prem Thapa, Dhan Bahadur Gurung 'DB' and Manoj Bhandari 'Max' are the producers of the film, which is being produced in collaboration with SGT Production Pvt Ltd along with Fullmoon Motion Pictures and Uttargaya Music and Film. Anjan Dura and Lakshmi Rai are co-producers while Tika Bhandari is the executive producer.
