According to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport, regular flight schedules have been affected since Friday after visibility at airports in the Terai decreased due to a cold wave.

As the weather gradually improved after 10 am on Sunday, flights resumed to Bhadrapur, Biratnagar, Rajbiraj, Janakpur, Simara, Bharatpur, Bhairahawa, Pokhara, Nepalgunj, Surkhet and Dhangadhi in the Tarai.

A total of 148 flights have been scheduled from Kathmandu for Sunday, including 73 by Buddha Air, 33 by Yeti Airlines, 28 by Shree Airlines, 6 by Sita Air, 4 by Nepal Airlines Corporation, 2 by Tara Air and 2 by Summit Air.

Earlier, a total of 5 flights were canceled on Saturday, including 4 by Yeti Airlines and 1 by Shree Airlines, while 16 flights, including 14 by Buddha Air and 2 by Shree Airlines, were merged.

On Saturday, 11,751 passengers traveled domestically on 133 flights.
