Rafting competition on river Bhotekoshi and Brahmayani

Bhotekoshi Adventure Club and Rafting Star won two categories of adventure game '23rd Himalayan Water Challenge' competition held at Sukute of Chautara Sangachokgadhi municipality.

The players of Bhotekoshi Club and Rafting Star won the first place in the 'Kayak Race' in the 'White Water Raft Race' organized by the Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA) on Saturday and Sunday.  According to Shiv Adhikari, president of

Nara, 60 athletes competed in two categories in the two-day adventure competition at Bhotekoshi and Brahmayani rivers. In which 12 rafters also participated. Nara has been holding this competition every year since 2002. Bhotekoshi Club became the first in the 'White Water Raft Race on the Down River' in the team event of 15 km distance in 29:57 minutes, while Nepal River Runner and Rafting Star came third. 

In this category, the first winner of the winning team received 30,000, the second 20,000 and the third 10,000 with a shield medal and certificate. In Saturday's 'Slalom' match, Ashok Chaudhary of Rafting Star won by getting 400 points. Rafting star Krishna Khadka came second and Vijay Majhi came third in the Down Stream Kayak Race. The first, second and third place winners received 15,000, 10,000 and 5,000 respectively. Bagmati Provincial Assembly member and former minister Dipendra Shrestha and NARA officials distributed prizes to the winning team on Sunday.
