The agitating teachers have been refusing to sit in the talks called by the Ministry of Education, with demands including that the School Education Bill 2081 should be passed quickly.

The agitation that has been going on since March 20 has made student admissions, class 12 exams and SEE answer sheet tests uncertain in schools across the country. Prime Minister Oli instructed the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar, Minister of Education, Science and Technology Vidya Bhattarai to do their homework regarding the legitimate demands raised in the movement and solve the problem through dialogue and dialogue. Even since then, there have been informal discussions between the government side and the protesting teachers, but no formal talks have been held.

The Council of Ministers meeting on the 2nd of Baisakh decided to call a session of the Federal Parliament for the purpose of passing the School Education Bill pending in the Parliament's Education and Health Committee as much as possible. On behalf of the government, it was decided to coordinate and facilitate the necessary coordination and facilitation to pass the bill and for this, it was decided to call the federal parliament meeting on Friday 12th Baisakh at 1 pm.

The same meeting of the Council of Ministers called upon the teachers to call back the protest and return to school, paying attention to the school admission campaign, the examination of the answer sheets of the SEE and the class 12 examination, as the dialogue regarding the reasonable addressing of the demands raised by the federation is ongoing and the government is still sensitive and serious about dialogue. But the teachers have announced that they will not be involved in educational activities. The bill is under discussion in the sub-committee under the committee. The teachers have said that they will return to the classroom only after the bill is passed as agreed in the past.
