Pakistan has said that its country has no involvement in the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that his country had no role in the Pahalgam massacre.

In an interview given to local television, Asif has clarified that Pakistan has nothing to do with the incident. He says that the Palgam incident was a domestic rebellion against the Indian government. There are many rebels in India. From Nagaland to Kashmir, from Chhattisgarh to Manipur and to the south, there are rebel and terrorist organizations in India," he said, "this criminal incident is not an external intrusion but a product of their own domestic production." "Hinduist groups are increasing repression and oppression on minorities including Muslims, Christians, Buddhists". Such incidents are the result of that,' he said.

Asif has accused Pakistan of being 'easy' to blame for the attack and that India has interfered in Pakistan's affairs. Asif condemned the incident and said that Pakistan will always hate such bloody terrorist acts.

Kashmir, claimed by both India and Pakistan, has been rebelling against Indian rule for decades. India has been accusing Pakistan of providing financial assistance and support to the uprising. But Pakistan denies the accusation.
