Mark Zuckerberg's company Meta, which is trying to make a strong presence in the artificial intelligence (AI) market, has released a new tool for video content generation. Based on the user's explanation in the tool, the AI will create a video or the user will be able to edit the video taken by uploading it. This tool is seen as a competitor to video generator tools like Sora, Google's Vio, already released by OpenAI.

Just last week, Meta announced AI smart glasses called 'Orion', this week announced a new artificial intelligence model called 'Movie Zen'. In a blog post on Friday, the company explained how the tool works and what level of media content it can produce, with examples.

Movie Gen will not only generate audio, video clips but also edit user's private videos. It is expected to completely transform Facebook and Instagram in the future.

After giving a 'text prompt', i.e., a clear explanation to make a video as you want, Movie Gen can create a video of 16 frames and 16 seconds long, according to Meta's statement. Users can also upload their photos and convert them into videos through MovieZen. Meta has now announced Movie Zen as an alternative to the 'Sora' AI video generator that ChatGPT maker OpenAI released last February to shock Hollywood itself.

A music video titled 'The Hardest Part' made using Sora of OpenAI was also released on YouTube last May. The video for the song, sung by American singer Washed Out, was created entirely by Sora. So far, the video has more than three and a half million views and almost 2,000 comments. In the comments, it seems that most of them have an opinion in favor of Sora. As it is still in testing, the company has only allowed a limited number of visual artists, designers and filmmakers to use Sora.

Meta brings 'Movie Zen' Sora, which is not available to the general public, creates videos of up to one minute and they seem very realistic and realistic. Although this technology will help to make the work of filmmakers easier, technology experts have been warning that the flow of false information through online can make it even worse. They are of the opinion that it will be more challenging to find out which of the content available on the internet is real and which is fake.

Meta's Movie Gen is also not available to the general public at this time. As it is still in the research and development stage, the common people have to wait for some time to use it. Meta has sampled videos made with MovieZen on his blog. Those high definition videos are very attractive. Meta mentions that this tool will also create the required soundtrack and sound effects for the video.

In addition to OpenAI and Meta, Google, Nvidia, Adobe, Amazon, etc. are also developing text-to-video AI tools. Nvidia has developed 'Gaugan 2' technology to create high quality video from 'text prompt'. From facilitating the creation of video content for e-commerce platforms to creating personalized video for advertisements, one technology company after another has recently been investing in these tools.

Based on the latest strategies released by Meta, the company is estimated to invest 35 billion to 40 billion US dollars in the development of AI technology, generative AI and metaverse by the end of 2024. The investment is a major part of the company's efforts to dominate the burgeoning AI market over the past few years, along with other big tech companies. Experts speculate that Meta will not only improve the use of its major social media platforms, but also expand its advertising market and maintain its share of the growing use of generative AI.

Meta is working on additional tools like Meta AI, Reality Labs, Llama Model, AI for Business to make its social media platform more effective. Meta AI, which helps users on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger, photo editing tools such as AI stickers, restyling and backdrops, Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, the company has developed the Lama model to improve the capabilities of Meta's AI products. Through this Meta is trying to make its AI products interactive and useful.
