Voting is going on in Bhimdatta Municipality-6 of Kanchanpur under the local level by-election. District Election Officer Udayraj Joshi said that 522 votes were cast till 9 am.
There are 5 thousand 434 voters in that ward, 10 from political parties and 2 from independents have given their candidature. Voting is being done in one polling place and 6 centers for the ward president.
Due to cold in the morning, the number of votes in the polling station is low. Voter turnout is expected to increase after the cold weather subsides.
