Nepal will field first against Scotland in their Twenty20 World Cup match on Tuesday. Nepal captain Rohit Poudel won the toss and elected to bat against Scotland at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Nepal has replaced Karan KC from the team that played the previous match with Sandeep Jora. This is Jora's first match in the tournament. Karan, a medium-pacer who played the first 3 matches, could not take any wickets.

Nepal has not been able to win a single match and had lost in the first three matches. Scotland, which lost to the West Indies and England, had won against Italy. Both Nepal and Scotland have already exited the 'Super Eight' race. West Indies and England have reached the second round with 3 wins each from Group 'C'.

Scotland, which came to replace Bangladesh at the last minute after they did not play the tournament, played the first 3 matches at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. This is the first time the team is playing in Mumbai. Although Nepal has been playing all 4 matches at Wankhede, it has not been able to take advantage of it in the previous matches.

This is the third time that Nepal and Scotland are playing in a Twenty20 International. Nepal toured Scotland in May-June, where Nepal played 2 matches against Scotland in a triangular series, in which both teams won 1-1.
