After Gulshan Jha's aggressive innings, Karnali Yaks set a target of 150 runs for Kathmandu Gorkhas in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket on Sunday. Captain Sompal Kami won the toss and elected to bat, Karnali scored 149 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Karnali had a very poor start at the Tribhuvan University Cricket International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur. Captain Karan KC had cut and bowled Priyank Panchal in the first ball of the match . William Bosisto was run out for 1 run in the last ball of the same over .

Mark Watt and Pawan Saraf improved Karnali's position by putting on a 59-run partnership for the third wicket . Watt was also run out for 30 runs . He hit 1 four and 2 sixes in 27 balls . Pawan was dismissed LBW by Santosh Yadav for 35 runs . Pawan hit 2 fours and a six in 29 balls .

Nazibullah Zadran could only score 12 runs in 14 balls . Captain Sompal Kami was also out for 6 runs . Gulshan shared an important partnership of 55 runs in 28 balls with Deepak Dumre . Deepak scored 10 runs in 12 balls. Gulshan remained unbeaten on 49. He hit 6 fours and 3 sixes in 22 balls.

Rashid Khan took 2 wickets for Kathmandu for 27 runs in 4 overs. Karan, Milind Kumar and Santosh took 1 wicket each. Karan scored 26 runs in 4 overs, Milind scored 24 runs in 4 overs and Santosh scored 22 runs in 3 overs.

Kathmandu has made one change in the team, bringing in Bhim Sarki in place of Dipesh Kandel. Chitwan has not made any changes to its team from the previous match.
