Lumbini has included Sri Lankan veteran Niroshan Dickwella in the team in place of Thomas Draka, while Pokhara has made two changes.
Lumbini Lions will field first in the first match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket on Saturday. Lumbini captain Rohit Poudel has invited Pokhara Avengers to bat after winning the toss at the Tribhuvan University Cricket International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
Lumbini has included Niroshan Dickwella, who has played for Sri Lanka, in the team today. The 32-year-old has played 54 Tests, 55 ODIs and 28 T20Is for Sri Lanka.
He has been played in place of Thomas Drake. Pokhara has made two changes. Abhishek Tiwary and Matt Taylor have been played in place of Akash Chand and Dan Douthwaite.
Lumbini has lost 3 out of 4 matches and the team has won only one match. The team is under pressure to win all three remaining matches to qualify for the playoffs. Pokhara, who lost to Sudurpaschim Royals and Janakpur Bolts in the first two matches, defeated Janakpur Bolts in the previous match.
It is said that today will be the last match of Lumbini's Gulbadin Naib and Pokhara's Jimmy Neesam in the tournament. They are scheduled to travel to Dubai to play in the IL T20 in the UAE.
