Former South African all-rounder Wayne Parnell captained Janakpur Bolts in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Saturday. He won the toss and elected to bat against Sudurpaschim Royals at the Tribhuvan University Cricket International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Parnell is the first foreign player to captain the NPL . He was included in Janakpur's squad only in the previous match and scored an unbeaten half-century in the match against Pokhara  Last season, when Anil was injured, Asif captained Janakpur in most of the matches and led them to the title. Janakpur must win the remaining 4 matches to keep its playoff chances alive.

Sudurpaschim is at the top after winning all the first four matches. Sudurpaschim has replaced Naren Saud with Milan Bohra.
