With excellent batting from Priyank Panchal and William Bosista, Karnali Yaks set a target of 161 runs for Biratnagar Kings in the second match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket on Friday.

Karnali, who won the toss and came in to bat, scored 160 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs at the Tribhuvan University Cricket International Stadium, Kirtipur.

After opener Mark Wart was dismissed for 6 runs off 9 balls, the pair of Panchal and Bosisto had a partnership of 96 runs off 82 balls. Panchal scored 63 runs off 47 balls. This was his second half-century in the tournament. He hit 6 fours and 2 sixes.

Bosisto remained unbeaten on 48 runs. He hit 2 fours in 48 balls. Najibullah Zadran remained unbeaten on 12 runs off 6 balls and hit 1 six. Gulshan Jha was dismissed for 20 runs off 10 balls, hitting 2 fours and 1 six. Biratnagar captain Sandeep Lamichhane and Merchant de Lange took 1 wicket each.

Biratnagar has made three changes to its players, replacing Surya Tamang, Naren Bhatt and Shubham Ranjan with Sahil Patel, Subash Bhandari and Sehan Jayasuriya. However, Jayasuriya has suffered a leg injury while fielding and is unlikely to bat. Ranjan is said to have left for Dubai for the UAE's IL T20.

Deepak Dumre will replace Arjun Gharti Magar from Karnali as wicketkeeper.
