Karan, who came to bat at the bottom of the order, scored the highest unbeaten 34 runs in 11 balls. He hit 1 four and 4 sixes. He hit Namibian fast bowler Ruben Trumpelman for 4 sixes and 1 four in the 19th over. Gorkhaz scored 31 runs in that over.
Gorkhaz did not get off to a good start. Ben Charlesworth was bowled by Sher Malla in the first over. Rashid Khan, who was sent in at number three, scored 14 runs in 10 balls with 2 fours. Opener Akash Tripathi scored 32 runs in 36 balls with 2 fours.
