Biratnagar achieved the target of 135 runs in 17.1 overs at the Tribhuvan University Cricket International Stadium Kirtipur . Biratnagar became the second team after Sudurpaschim Royals to win both their first matches . Biratnagar scored the highest score in the NPL in the first match of 220 runs and won the match against Pokhara Avengers by 53 runs .
Kathmandu has lost for the second consecutive match after defeating the defending champion Janakpur Bolts by 5 wickets in the first match. The team lost to Sudurpaschim Royals by 29 runs in the previous match .
Biratnagar laid the foundation for victory with the aggressive batting of foreign players George Mansi and Martin Guptill. After Lokesh Bam hit 2 sixes and scored 14 runs in 10 balls, Mansi and Guptill added 53 runs in 24 balls for the second wicket .
Mansi scored 36 runs in 16 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes, while Guptill scored 25 runs in 19 balls with 2 fours and 1 six. Bashir Ahmed was out for 19 runs in 17 balls with 1 four and a six. Naren Bhatt was out for 24 runs in 30 balls with 2 fours.
