Biratnagar Kings defeated Chitwan Rhinos by 51 runs in the second match of Nepal Premier League (NPL) today. Chasing the target of 182 runs given by Biratnagar, Chitwan lost six wickets in the scheduled 20 overs and added only 130 runs in the match played at the Trivi Cricket Ground Kirtipur today.
Amar Rautela scored the highest 42 runs for Chitwan. He scored 42 runs off 29 balls by hitting two sixes and three fours. Similarly, Santosh Karki scored 28 runs, captain Kushal Malla scored 25 runs and Ravi Bopara scored 20 runs.
For Chitwan, Hasan Isakhil scored five runs, Deepak Bohra scored two runs, Basil Hamid and Sohail Tanveer scored one each. Chitwan got six extra runs. Captain Sandeep Lamichhane took the most two wickets for Biratnagar. Similarly, Chris Soul, Basir Ahmed, Subas Bhandari and Lokesh Bam took the same wicket each.
Before that, Biratnagar, who won the toss and elected to bat, scored 181 runs after losing five wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Bashir Ahmed scored a half-century for Biratnagar. He scored 68 runs off 44 balls by hitting four sixes and four fours.
Similarly, Martin Guptill added 45 runs, Rajesh Pulami 33, Nicholas Kirton eight and Deepak Bohra added four runs. Biratnagar got an extra 23 runs. In terms of bowling, Chitwan's Region Dhakal took the most two wickets. Similarly, captain Kushal Malla, Sohail Tanveer and Basil Hamid took one wicket each.
