Rohit Paudel is in a rhythm in Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket, his team Lumbini Lions is in opposite pace. Having lost their first four matches, Lumbini, who were considered contenders, have almost been eliminated from the playoff race.

Rohit has not lost his appetite. For him, his performance on Tuesday could be one of the best at the Kirtipur ground. However, he claims that better is yet to come. Rohit showed great impact not only with batting but also with bowling to give Lumbini their first win in NPL. Lumbini won by 33 runs against Chitwan Rhinos with Rohit's impressive all-round performance. 

After losing the toss, Lumbini came into bat and scored 167 runs after losing 6 wickets in 20 overs at the Trivi Maidan in Kirtipur. In which captain Rohit contributed 80 runs off 57 balls. But Chitwan lost 8 wickets and scored only 134 runs. This is Chitwan's second defeat in the fifth match. 

'It wasn't so good for the team in the first four games. Today we have crossed a line. He is very happy when he scores runs and the team wins. There is a very positive feeling while batting," Rohit said in the post-match conference, "I am enjoying it, the NPL has been good for me." 

Rohit has scored 261 runs at a strike rate of over 138 in 5 matches. He is ahead in the list of highest run scorers. Chitwan's English batsman Ravi Bopara, who is in second place, has scored 169 runs. 

Region Dhakal gave Chitwan a sensational start. In the second over of the match, the fast bowler Debrehate bowled Ashutosh Ghirohia for 1 and Unmukt Chand for zero. After Arjun Saud scored 15 off 12 balls and Tom Moores scored 10 off 5 balls, Lumbini reached 49-4 within 8 overs. 

In this situation, Rohit pointed towards the dressing room and signaled to send the batter to Devrahate. He said, "The ball was turning a lot and because they used the Devrehate spinner, they called Saadbin Jafar before Sandeep Zora and Vivek Yadav as the Devrehate batsman." Rohit hit 6 fours and 5 sixes and shared 114 runs with Canada's ex-captain Zafar playing 70 balls for the fifth wicket. Rohit was dismissed in the third ball of the 20th over. Then Sandeep Zora hit a boundary on the first ball but was beaten on the next two balls. Jaffer, who was run out in the last over of the innings, scored 52 runs with 4 fours and 1 six off 35 balls. Reason took 29 runs in 4 overs with 3, captain Kushal Malla took 42 in 4 overs and Ranjith Kumar took 1 each with 26 runs in 4 overs. Pakistani veteran fast bowler Sohail Tanveer could not take any wicket despite spending only 27 runs in 4 overs.
