Sudurpaschim Royals will bat first in Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket on Tuesday. After winning the toss, Biratnagar Kings invited Sudurpaschim to bat first at the Trivi Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
Vinod Bhandari, Amit Shrestha, Ishan Pandey, Arif Sheikh, Naresh Budhaair, Avinash Bohra, Vasant Khatri, Saif Zaib, Scott Kugelein and Brandon McMullen are playing from the playing XI from Sudurpaschim under the captaincy of Dipendra Singh Airi. Vasant is a player who came from talent hunt.
Although four foreign players are mandatory in the NPL, Sudurpaschim has fielded only 3 foreigners. Rohan Mustafa, who is the fourth foreign player of Far West, had not arrived at the Kirtipur ground before the toss. Sudurpaschim is said to have given the organizers a 'special reason' for Mustafa not being able to play due to flight delay. Although Mustafa has arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport, he has not yet reached the ground.
This is the first game of Far West. Biratnagar lost to Janakpur Bolts by 8 wickets in their first match. Biratnagar has played Ismat Alam in place of Akib Ilyas and Deepak Bohra in place of Jitendra Mukhia from the match against Janakpur.
