Karnali improved in the last 2 overs

Indian star batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been dropped by Karnali Yaks and has given a target of 142 runs to Janakpur Bolts in Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket. Karnali came into bat after captain Sompal Kami won the toss and scored 141 runs after losing 7 wickets at the Trivi Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Arjun Gharti and Sompal Kami added 43 runs in the last two overs and Karnali made a watchable score. Arjun, who hit Harsh Thackeray with 2 sixes and 2 fours in the 19th over, was run out for 33 runs in the last over. He played 22 balls. Sompal, who scored 21 runs in the last over, hit 3 fours and 1 six off 13 balls and was unbeaten on 19 runs.

Dev Khanal and Dhawan came as the opening pair. Dev was bowled by Lalit Rajvanshi for 1 run. Dhawan hit 3 fours and scored 14 runs off 14 balls. Canadian player Harsh Thacker blew Dhawan's off stump .

Karnali improved in the last 2 overs Mohammad Mohsin dismissed Chadwick Walton for 8 and Babar Hayat for 12 runs. Hayat, who played 25 balls, could not hit any boundary . Earlier, Newland's all-rounder Jimmy Neesham had bowled Jeshan Maksud for no runs.

Gulshan Jha scored the highest 36 runs from Karnali. He played 27 balls and hit 1 four and 3 sixes. Mohsin spent only 14 runs in 4 overs and took 2 wickets. Lalit took 16 wickets in 4 overs, Kishore Mahato 28 runs in 4 overs and Thacker took 1 wicket each with 45 runs in 4 overs.
