The closed session under the first national general convention of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is set to begin at 2 pm today. The closed session, which was scheduled to begin at 8:30 am on Monday, has been delayed by a day due to technical reasons, the RSS said.
According to RSS Chitwan President Mini Madhav Khanal, the closed session will begin after the distribution of identity cards. The distribution of identity cards for the general convention has begun a while ago.
It is said that the closed session of the general convention has been postponed due to the time it takes to verify the names of the general convention delegates received from the provinces and print the general convention representative cards. It is stated that the closed session will be conducted as per the previous schedule after the distribution of the cards.
According to RSS General Secretary Kavindra Burlakoti, at the beginning of the closed session, there will be a discussion on the report of the commission to be presented by Ramakant Rimal on behalf of the Disciplinary Commission. After that, the financial report to be presented by Treasurer Lima Adhikari will be discussed in the closed session, according to the agenda.
Similarly, the party's Joint General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya will present the amendment proposal on the statute, General Secretary Burlakoti will present the organizational report, and Vice President Dr. Swarnim Wagle will present the party's financial and political proposals separately.
After the aforementioned proposals to be presented by the party officials during the closed session are passed, the political report to be presented by party President Rabi Lamichhane will be discussed in the closed session, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has stated.
Meanwhile, party President Lamichhane will propose to give the entire responsibility of the organizing committee to the Election Commission along with the announcement of the formation of an interim management committee. After that, the commission has a schedule to publish information and schedule related to the election process.
The closed session of the general convention, which was inaugurated at the Guesthouse Chaur in Bharatpur on Sunday afternoon, is being conducted at the Exhibition Center of the Industry Association.
