Manish Khanal of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has won by a wide margin in East Nawalparasi Constituency No. 2.

Khanal defeated his rival Til Bahadur Mahat of UML by a margin of 25,592 votes in Nawalparasi constituency number 2, where UML has been winning for 32 years. Mahat was a candidate for the third consecutive time in this constituency.

Manish started his political journey at the age of 20 as the youngest central member at the general convention of the then Bibeksheel Sajha Party held in Janakpur in 2076 BS.

'As a law student, I will try to respect parliamentary dignity,' he said.
