With 16 days left to vote for the House of Representatives, only 30 parties have submitted their manifestos to the Election Commission and its offices. Although 68 parties registered to participate in the direct elections, less than half have submitted their manifestos.

The Election Commission's Assistant Spokesperson Kul Bahadur GC said that the big parties including the Congress and the UML have not submitted their manifestos. According to him, there are 30 parties that have submitted them so far and 38 that have not.

Parties including the NCP, RPP and JSP have already made them public and submitted them to the Election Commission.

The Election Commission had directed the parties to make their manifestos public before the election campaign schedule. However, even after that time has passed, the parties have not submitted them.
